What insurance does a Texas contractor need?

Most Texas contractors need general liability, commercial auto, inland marine for tools and equipment, workers' compensation, and commercial property coverage at minimum. A solo operator has different needs than a crew of 20 — we build the bundle around your specific operation.

Is workers' comp required in Texas?

Texas is the only state where private employers can opt out of workers' compensation. However, opting out carries significant risk — one serious injury claim without coverage can be a business-ending event. We can walk you through both options.

Does my personal auto policy cover my work truck?

In most cases no — if you're using a vehicle for business purposes a personal auto policy may not cover a claim. Commercial auto coverage is built for exactly that situation.

What is inland marine insurance?

Inland marine covers your tools and equipment while they're in transit, on a job site, or in storage — anywhere outside your fixed location. If your tools get stolen from your truck or damaged on a job, inland marine coverage is what pays for them.

Do you cover solo operators and small contractors?

Yes. Whether you're a one-person operation or running a crew, we build the bundle around your actual operation — not a template.

Runaround. No Jargon. No BS.

This is Texas. You work hard, you shoot straight — so do I.

No pushy sales, no fine print surprises. Just the right coverage, explained in plain English.

We understand that your F-250 is a work truck, not a family hauler — and that your shop is a business asset, not a hobby garage.

We'll write your coverage to reflect that. Whether you're a solo operator or running a crew — we build the bundle around your operation, not a template.

Ready to stop guessing whether you're actually covered? Takes less than 5 minutes to start. No pressure, no jargon, no BS.
